Hi, I'm Kimberly.

Scholar. Preacher. Philanthropist. Southern girl for life.

MY STORY

Thanks so much for stopping by! If we haven't met yet, let me tell you a little about who I am.

I am a desperately flawed and radical follower of the Jesus of Scripture, the one who dined with prostitutes and wrote hope in the dust. My calling is grounded in the hard and holy work of being for and with the least of these.

I'm an ordained minister and a Bible scholar, and I've spent my adult life with one foot in the church and one in the academy. My research, preaching, and writing center on the holy women of the early church: the women who funded Jesus' ministry, stood at the cross, proclaimed the resurrection, and led house churches across the Roman world. The women were always there. I've made it my life's work to make sure we never forget it.

A Little More About Me

My favorite roles are mama to Max and wife to Kevin. We live in Central Indiana these days, but you should know I'm a native Nashvillian and a Southern girl for life!

I love golf and Notre Dame, the beach, and all things ancient world and Southern fried. I love to read, shop, and laugh until I cry. And I resolutely believe in the power of Jesus and women to change the world.

I hope we'll be fast friends! xx, Kimberly
